Solve Linear by Linear Combination
Description – Linear combination is adding or subtracting one equation from another to eliminate a variable. The concept of solving a linear system is developed with balance beams using weights and objects, modeling a linear system. The substitution method is used to solve the linear system. A more efficient and easier method is developed by subtracting the equations. A procedure and examples are developed.
